MASTERCLASS - Compositional Watercolour Techniques with John Lovett
One of the most important considerations when creating a painting is the correct placement of all the subject’s elements. We are going to explore the effect of placement, balance and rearrangement on the impact of our paintings. We will use areas of detail contrasting with understated areas of simplicity and discover the importance of variation and balance on the placement and interaction of these areas.
We will also employ a number of different techniques to get the most out of our subjects.
This workshop is suitable for all skill levels, we will work hard, have a lot of fun and produce some exciting paintings exploring this vitally important aspect of our work.
