Yin Yoga for Creatives

Regular price $89.00 Sale

Whether you're an aspiring artist or a lifelong professional, a sustainable creative practice requires self-care. Long hours spent at an easel, desk, wheel, or workbench can take a toll on your body, causing persistent aches, strain, and fatigue. Yin yoga is a gentle, accessible style of yoga that soothes stress and fatigue, creating a feeling of calm and spaciousness in the body.

This user-friendly workshop will help you relax body and mind, release tension, and nurture your creative head space. Learn a sequence of soothing poses designed especially for working artists. Care will be devoted to clearing tension around wrists, neck, shoulders, and back. Then drop into soft, restorative postures to promote deep relaxation, and complete the experience with a simple somatic meditation to promote flow-state and creativity. You'll leave feeling refreshed, calm, and open.

No prior experience with yoga is required. Variations will be offered to suit different needs and levels of experience. Please wear soft, comfortable clothing. Bring a yoga mat and blanket. Additional props will be provided.

Workshop duration: 90 minutes. Early registration is recommended as space is limited.
